Its been awhile since the last time I posted here.
University life has been keeping me busy for the past few months, glad that the semester will be done in a soon. Its the first time so far in university that I felt good, the combination of helpful classmates and instructors is a big plus. The commute was okay, just that it takes a few hours enough day. It was good that I found students that go to UBC that lived close to me that I can get a ride anytime, still takes an hour but much better than the bus.
Speaking of the bus, I got sick when someone coughed on me this past week. Made me feel less than 100+GENKI
Nov 11, went with some friends to see Puffy Ami Yumi at Richards on Richards, it was a fun show in my opinion. They were doing a brief West Coast tour to promote their latest album and I appreciate them for thinking of their foreign fans. Something that is lost on the majority of J-pop artists, especially to Canadians.

I recently got an iPod Touch as a gift, its one of the must have gifts for the holiday season. Its just like the iPhone without the phone which makes it slimmer, the wireless feature is cool because I can log onto an open wireless network and watch Youtube videos. I watch Japanese videos late at night on my iPod Touch. It has the Safari browser which I can use to go onto the net though the type is really small. The predictive text feature can be annoying because 7 out of 10 times it predicts the wrong word that I am typing. The cool thing is that I can type in Japanese and everything is touch-based with only one button to turn it off/on and one for going back to the main menu. Its sold out currently at Best Buy and Future Shop and will be the same situation for the next few months. Seems like there are 8 out of 10 people riding on the transit system has an iPod on them.

H!ppy Mid-Autumn Festival…I love eating mooncakes, especially the frozen skin variety. I brought a few to uni and ate them with my friends. They are so yummy!
Haven’t manage to update my blog here for a while~haha. Just finishing up my first month of the new semester. Its easier this time around compared to last year, had so much of a difficult time getting used to uni in my first semester at UBC. Taking 3 courses this semester helps too. The commute to university takes close to 2 hours for me because I have to take 3 buses and 1 Skytrain. Lately, I been getting a ride to school with UBC students living out here in the Tri-Cities. Hopefully we can become good friends.

Next week, its back to university life again…
One of the things I like to do is look at the outfits J-pop artists wear. I like the shirt, tie, vest look. Just have to find some lapel pins and accessories…haha Bought some beads from the mall. Have to motivate myself to be creative~ Prolly wear this outfit to the movies or shopping~
Imageshack is a bitch these days. Its so slow uploading pics…. Gahhhh, these free services are bad. Finally going to get a laser printer. Guess which kind???? Samsung~haha I really like the company Samsung because all their stuff never break. Inkjet printers are a waste of money. The companies are basically selling them at very low prices. Then when it comes to getting new ink, it costs more than the printer. Over time it costs 3 to 4 times more than the original cost.

Today I bought one of these clipboards, it should be good enough to take notes:

Only $5 dollars…
Its been a long time since I last updated~
Vancouver city is still on strike. Really messy parks with all the garbage thrown around on the grass~ I went back to my old home and the garbage in the alley was piling up.
Saw The Bourne Ultimatum with Junie yesterday afternoon at Silvercity~ I just love the action and seeing one of my favorite actors Matt Damon in action~
Betty should be back this weekend. I wish my family is well off and can go to Taiwan for almost 3 months~
Going to see Rush Hour 3 this weekend. Its funny on the radio Jackie told the reporters he did not understand many of the jokes in the scripts. Haha~I want to go and teach English in Japan. I can’t speak proper English without being corrected by my friend’s little sister Sophie.

I got my Tetanus booster shot and my left arm is sore. Anyways it will protect me from getting a bacteria infection.
Its fun driving around on these roads on Heritage Mountain. They have a lot of curvy roads that go uphill and downhill. I can see the haze in Burnaby. I’m still in the process of getting my full drivers license.
Tomorrow I will work for a full day at the office and just head down to see the fireworks with Junie. Its China’s turn in the competition. If it wasn’t on a weekend, I go see Canada’s because I heard they had music from the big band era.
July is over. August is almost here, bring it on! xD!!!

DIY is fun. Its not that hard to upgrade the CPU and memory on the computer. 10 step process…
01 Unscrew side panel screws
02 Ground myself by sliding my hand on the power supply
03 Flip the notch and the old memory pops out
04 Gently insert the new memory
05 Twist the 4 locks on the CPU heatsink
06 Unlock the lever and take out CPU
07 Put new CPU into the socket, make sure its the right way
08 Make sure there is thermal paste on the bottom of heatsink and put it in
09 Remember to plug in heatsink fan connector
10 Turn computer on and see how things go faster
Looks like Tri-Cities area is again snubbed by Vancouver when it comes to transportation needs. At least there be a strike and garbage will be piling up there. Cool how karma works. Kind of like those ‘Return It’ recycling depot commercials playing before movies.
I wonder if Miyabi was lining up to get the last Harry Potter book, prolly wears glasses and a big cap so wotas won’t recognize her.

Wow~I forgot to update my blog here already. haha~ Anyways, I saw Transformers the Movie last weekend. It was OK. Wednesday was really hot, it made me think of being in a tropical place for a minute. Took the kids down to the outdoor pool to cool down and later on to the ice cream store. So far the kids are having fun after being PICHI up for the past 2 weeks. We go and see the new Harry Potter movie once all the parents sign the consent form. Its so we at the school don’t get blamed for taking their kid to see the movie without their permission.
Ohh and I missed my bus stop last week and mistakenly went to PoCo. Misaki will know where PoCo is. xD!!! I was really tired that day and couldn’t stay awake on the bus. Going to have some fun this weekend with my family and relatives. Its our annual family reunion and we’re going to have some BBQ in the park. Hopefully I am still sane afterwards~ haha

Thankfully there is a long weekend coming up, I prolly go and spend time with friends if it isn’t rainy.
Today was a muggy day, the overcast skies made it hard to pick what to wear. I went to Anitec Computers today with Brandon to get a new PSU. We pick up an OCZ 850 watt PSU and installed it just now. I managed to cut my finger on one of the sharp edges inside my case while helping Brandon put the PSU in. ~Ouch~ ^^;
I got 23 pairs of tube socks. Bought 2 more pairs yesterday. Just love wearing them~ I also like wearing thigh high socks too. They look good when pair with a skirt or shorts. xD!!!
The birds seem to always chirp at 3:55am everday… Its hard to go back to sleep when 6 or 7 birds have a ‘Bird Idol’ contest xD!!! And in other news, the slugs pwn my sunflowers. They all disappeared. ^^;

I prolly won’t buy much from Yesasia anymore because of the problems with ordering PBs there. They always have the problem of going out-of-stock and canceling my order. Over at Amazon Japan, they have it ready to ship out in 1 to 2 days~ I am still debating whether to get Momoko’s PB or not. She has this hobgoblin look to her, a cute hobgoblin btw~
And in other news:

Thats my new 22 inch Samsung monitor~ I think having the large size monitor helps the eyes too because the text isn’t so small like before. Anyways, going to use it to play some games and watch DVDs. Its almost as large like my 27 inch Samsung HDTV in my room~ I’m a fan of Samsung, they make good products and unlike most of the people posted, mine doesn’t suffer from backlight bleeding. There is this odd red dot that flashes when I turned it on, now its gone. Hopefully, permanently~haha
Finally, there is sunshine~ I’m sooo happy!!!
I miss last year, my cousin Carrie from Hong Kong was here for the whole summer. We painted our faces with Italian flags and cheer them on in last year’s World Cup~ Those were the fun times I miss.
